To keep both school children and staff of LAS in a safe environment.

This protocol incorporates both national and international guidelines for COVID-19 and is subject to review as the COVID- 19 situation changes.

What is Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)
Coronaviruses are a large group of viruses that are common among animals. In rare cases, they are what scientists call zoonotic, meaning they can be transmitted from animals to humans, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Main Entrance
Temperature checks for everyone entering the campus
• All staff, students and visitors must be in a face mask (with the exception of children 2 years and below).
• Restriction of visitors entering campus.
• Supension of staff clocking-in system
Classrooms

Sharing of electronic devices should be discouraged. -
Regular hand washing by students when changing classrooms for different subjects. -
Sanitizers will be available in all classrooms and sanitizer dispensers on all floors. -
All staff/students should be encouraged to keep disposable tissues on them always. -
All door handles will be disinfected frequently. -
Cross ventilation is encouraged. Teachers should use their discretion as to when to use air conditioners. -
No visitors are allowed to any classroom. -
Any student or staff who gets sick suddenly in school should report to the sick bay. -
All field trips for students will be suspended for now
• Use of pre-recorded songs instead of the staff/students singing.
• Suspend joint service between staff, students and parents
Pre-school
DROP-OFF/PICK-UP

Parents will not be allowed to enter the classrooms. -
Daily signing in and out by parents should be temporarily done by the teachers and records kept by the various teachers.

The use of toys will be suspended -
Due to breathing problems, children should not be allowed to sleep in face mask. -
Beddings will be washed as often as needed. There will be no sharing of beddings.

Changing mats will be properly disinfected after each use. -
Wash rooms will be cleaned after every use. Children’s potties will be thoroughly cleaned. There will be no sharing of potties.
Cafeteria
• Only few staff and students who for one reason or the other will have to use the cafeteria should do so maintaining physical distancing of about 2 meters between each person.
Library, Science / IT Labs
• A minimum physical distance of about 2 meters should be maintained between students.
• A minimum physical distance of about 2 meters should be maintained between students
• Computers and other shared items should be disinfected regularly and between uses.

• Cleaning will be done with chlorine base solution as often as
necessary.
• Classroom tables will be cleaned early in the morning, before snack, after snack, before lunch, after lunch and after classes.
• Rails are to be cleaned frequently throughout the day.
• Washrooms need frequent cleaning, preferably after each use.
• All door handles, including the main door of the building will be cleaned frequently.

• Classroom tables will be cleaned early in the morning, before snack, after snack, before lunch, after lunch and after classes.
• Rails are to be cleaned frequently throughout the day.
• Washrooms need frequent cleaning, preferably after each use.
• All door handles, including the main door of the building will be cleaned frequently.
• The school nurse will be in a face mask, face shield and a protective gown when working in the sick bay.
• Should any class need help with proper hand washing, please contact the school nurse.
• The school nurse will ensure that good hygiene practices are maintained in the school.
• Any staff/student who gets sick suddenly in school should report to the sick bay
• A temporary isolation room for suspected cases of COVID-19 would be made available
close to the sick bay
• Any sick person should not come to school. This include children of the staff.
General Hygiene Protocols
• Teachers will supervise children during hand washing. For this ages hand washing is preferred to hand sanitizer because of the chemicals in the hand sanitizer.
• Tables will be thoroughly cleaned at the beginning of the day, before snack, after snack, before lunch, after lunch and after classes.
• Lockers will be well cleaned on daily basis.
